Job Summary

We are seeking a Datacentre Technician to join our operations team in Harbour Exchange London. As a Datacentre Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining critical facilities infrastructure and delivering best-in-class service to our data center customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to work order requests in a timely manner, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Escalate and expedite orders to appropriate teams as needed, following standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain detailed written records of all work activity and update local asset databases and other systems.
  • Support semi-routine customer equipment installations, including rack and stack, fiber trays, ladder racks, and customer equipment and cabinets.
  • Support semi-routine datacenter standard operating cross-connect work order requests, including installs, terminations, modifications, and testing.
  • Support semi-routine standard operating testing and installations of customer assets, including layer 1 cross-connect certification testing.
  • Support stakeholders and customers, including providing back-up assistance to team members and supporting customer satisfaction with timely adherence to execution order requirements.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a high school diploma and 1-2 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
