Business Development Opportunity in the Waste Sector
Bis Henderson Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join our client, a leading industry leader in the waste sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with a focus on liquid waste services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and drive profitable new business growth through exploring the potential market to collect and transport waste liquid.
- Develop and manage a detailed new business pipeline capable of providing a clear business forecast of expected volumes and over-achieving on targeted new business sales revenues.
- Produce reports to give visibility of current activity and forecast new activity.
- Work closely with the General Manager tankers to drive a growth strategy aligned with the needs of the business.
- Maintain accurate data within the CRM platform.
- Liaise regularly with other commercial functions to share pipelines and best practice.
Key Skills/Experience:
- General knowledge of the waste sector and experience of selling liquid waste services.
- Experience of successfully developing, managing, and implementing new business services.
- Good presentation, selling, negotiating, and influential skills.
- Analytical and able to quickly assess issues and recommend and/or implement solutions.
- Robust and resilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively.
- Experience of building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Pragmatic approach to delivering to tight deadlines and targets.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a background in the liquid waste sector. However, applications will also be welcomed from sales professionals who have sold general waste services but are wishing to diversify and develop new knowledge and skills in a waste specialism.
