About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilitating Trainer to join our team at the North Central London Integrated Care System. As a Facilitating Trainer, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism to our health workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Supervisory Role**: Provide pastoral support, leadership, and coaching to expert with lived experience co-trainers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality training sessions.
  • **Training Preparation**: Lead the Oliver McGowan training teams in the preparation of training sessions, including the post-sessions review and improvement cycle.
  • **Training Delivery**: Co-deliver Oliver McGowan Mandatory training sessions, ensuring that training participants and the training team are safe and confident in their surroundings.
  • **Safeguarding and Health and Safety**: Act on safeguarding and health and safety concerns in line with organisation policies, ensuring that training participants and the training team are protected.
  • **Legal Aspects**: Understand and respond to queries and challenges from delegates during training, identifying the correct response from the range of factual and most up-to-date material available.
Requirements
  • **Relevant Qualification**: Hold a relevant teaching qualification, such as a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS), or an equivalent.
  • **Experience**: Have significant experience of proficient and successful delivery of face-to-face training in health and social care, or a similar environment.
  • **Knowledge and Experience**: Have excellent up-to-date working knowledge of the fields of autism and learning disability, and be familiar with current issues.
  • **Leadership and Development**: Have experience leading and developing quality practice in others, and knowledge and experience of a variety of learning and development methodologies.
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months. You will be required to work flexibly and independently, including covering training sessions at short notice. You will also be required to travel to dispersed locations without restriction.
