About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Public Relations Account Executive to join our team at The Opportunity Hub UK. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in implementing integrated PR campaigns and developing engaging content to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of PR strategies to promote our clients' interests and build their reputation.
  • Write and distribute press releases, craft pitches for media coverage, and liaise with journalists, clients, and suppliers.
  • Monitor media coverage, create coverage lists, and generate reports to track the success of our campaigns.
  • Manage and maintain media lists, stay up-to-date on industry changes, and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor and scan daily news and journalist requests to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to engage with our audience and build our online presence.
  • Update and maintain our company website to ensure it remains a valuable resource for our clients and stakeholders.
  • Perform various administrative duties to support the smooth operation of our team.
Requirements
  • A degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in a business setting, preferably in PR, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Good organizational skills, including email management and reporting.
  • Knowledge of copywriting and editing principles.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and their role in business communications.
  • An interest in the charity and social purpose sector.
  • Basic design skills, with experience in creating templates using Canva or similar tools.
  • A willingness to learn and a genuine interest in current affairs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • The ability to prioritize workloads and meet tight deadlines.
  • Basic budget management skills.
