Job Title: Product Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Category Manager to join our team at Avon Protection. As a key member of our Product Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive growth and profitability in our international head protection product portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead international head protection product portfolio strategies, collaborating with the Global Category Director to define category objectives and metrics.
  • Assess and measure current performance, setting targets for category growth and profitability.
  • Devise and implement product strategies, engaging in product development, pricing, promotion, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Build and implement strategies to grow the international product category, aligning with sales strategy and market trends.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Experience, to ensure close collaboration and holistic planning.
  • Maximize existing business, expand new categories and product offerings, and rationalize legacy non-performing ones.
  • Manage direct profit and profit & loss of assigned product/service categories.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in safety/health, first responder, industrial, or military products.
  • Deep understanding of product and project management.
  • Excellent strategic and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, sales, and marketing staff.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences.
  • Seasoned experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Business Administration or Marketing preferred) or related professional work experience. Master's degree a plus.
