Autism Support Assistant - Unqualified Job Description

EdEx is seeking a confident and ambitious Autism Support Assistant - Unqualified to provide support for pupils with various Special Educational Needs in our Outstanding Primary School in Westminster.

About the Role

We believe that all pupils should enjoy school and develop enthusiasm for learning. As an Autism Support Assistant - Unqualified, you will work alongside a motivated team of specialist teachers, various therapists, and inclusion staff to help manage the classroom environment, create exciting activities, and deliver tailored programmes to pupils using the extensive equipment at the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with Autism in a Primary School setting
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with classroom management and organization
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils with daily living skills and personal care
Requirements

We are looking for a graduate or an individual passionate about ASD who is looking to work alongside the best specialist staff and equipment. This is a perfect role to provide a valuable experience for aspiring Psychologist, ASD teachers, Therapist, Primary School Teachers, and more.

This is a term time, full-time position with a September 2024 start. The school will take you on directly, and you will have the opportunity to work with a motivated team and develop your skills and experience in a supportive and inclusive environment.
