Job Title: Autism Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our team in Westminster.

We are committed to providing high-quality education and support to children with autism, and we are looking for an individual who shares our passion and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering tailored educational plans to meet the needs of students with autism.
  • Assist students with their learning and development, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Manage challenging behavior and create a positive learning environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an Autism Support Assistant is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with autism.
