The Role

We're seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team at our Bristol store. As a key member of our retail team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience
    • Develop and implement strategies to deliver an engaging and experiential customer service experience.
    • Train and coach store team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
    • Stay up-to-date with seasonal product ranges and ensure store team members have adequate product knowledge training.
    • Work with the store manager to build community relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration with like-minded associates.
    • Contribute to the planning and execution of successful store events.
  • Commercial
    • Share ownership of store performance and understand the store's targets and future plans.
    • Analyze sales data and implement commercial changes to drive sales growth.
    • Work with the store manager and merchandising team to optimize stock levels and maximize sales opportunities.
    • Understand the overall company strategy and how the retail goals fit into the overall direction.
  • Operations
    • Work with the store manager to ensure the store is staffed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train store team members on all stock handling processes and procedures.
    • Ensure store teams have adequate training on all retail operations and are up-to-date on any changes from HQ.
    • Support the store manager in implementing high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
    • Assist with managing the health and safety of the store and ensure all checklists are completed.
  • People
    • Proudly represent Finisterre and champion the brand story and company values through the store team.
    • Ensure adequate training has been rolled out to the store team and support team members to reach their full potential.
    • Maintain an open and positive relationship with the store manager and adopt the responsibilities of store manager in their absence.
    • Maintain good communications and relationships with all department teams at HQ and visit and attend meetings as necessary.
    • Assist the store manager with recruiting the best team for the brand and store.

  • You're commercially aware and have experience working towards KPIs.
  • You have visual merchandising skills and are competent with Excel, Word, and Office Outlook.
  • You motivate and coach others to be the best they can be.
  • You're a good communicator between management and retail teams.
  • You have passion, energy, and aspiration in line with Finisterre products, brand, and customers.

We're offering a competitive salary of £26,500 and a range of benefits, including a discretionary bonus scheme, pension scheme, 25 days holiday per year, and additional holidays for length of service.
