Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our Retirement Living Team at Rushen, Northampton. This part-time position involves working 24 hours per week, including alternate weekends. We are open to discussing flexible working patterns to accommodate individual needs.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve high-quality, home-cooked meals to our customers, with a focus on cultural and dietary needs.
- Manage stock and budgets, including stock taking, ordering, and receiving deliveries, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain and clean the kitchen and restaurant area, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Plan and participate in themed activities and events for residents, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
- Order and replenish food and kitchen supplies, prioritizing budget management and efficiency.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to populate spreadsheets and maintain records.
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience, with a focus on customer service and food safety.
- A Food Safety Level 2 qualification (training will be provided for successful candidates).
- Confidence in managing budgets and stocktaking, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Proficiency in using IT systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- A strong motivation to develop self and others, ensuring consistent quality service delivery.
