About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Midland Heart. As a key member of our Retirement Living Team, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, home-cooked meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality meals to customers, with a focus on meeting their cultural and dietary needs.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and receiving deliveries.
  • Ensure all activities comply with food safety standards.
  • Plan and engage in themed activities and events for residents.
  • Order and replenish food and kitchen supplies, with a focus on staying within budget.

Requirements

  • Previous cooking/kitchen experience.
  • Food Safety Level 2 qualification (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Confidence in dealing with budgets and stocktaking.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
