Job Description

Job Title: Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Currie & Brown Group Limited. As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering quantity surveying services, including preparing cost plans and tender documents, handling contract administration, sub-letting, and preparing and negotiating final accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quantity surveying services: Prepare cost plans and tender documents, handle contract administration, sub-letting, and prepare and negotiate final accounts.
  • Formulate tender strategies: Develop and implement tender strategies, conduct tender analysis, and participate in bidding processes.
  • Monitor cash flow: Track and manage cash flow, certify payment, and handle variations.
  • Lead and coach junior staff: Mentor and guide junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Attend site inspections and client meetings: Participate in site inspections and client meetings, presenting tender interview presentations as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven years' quantity surveying experience gained within a global construction consultancy, with exposure to multiple projects.
  • Language: Proficient in both spoken and written English.
