Corporate Financial Manager

(Maternity Leave Contract - 6 Months)

The South Australian Local Government Financial Management Group is a regional organization that provides financial management services to its constituent councils. We are seeking an experienced Corporate Financial Manager to join our team in a full-time role, initially offered as a maternity leave contract for six months with possible extension after that.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure legislative compliance and financial planning and analysis
  • Manage treasury and taxation, audit, and data analysis
  • Maintain banking and business systems
  • Partner with business units to drive financial performance

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related disciplines
  • Experience in corporate financial systems and software
  • Sound knowledge of internal controls and financial management
  • Experience in preparing budgets, long-term financial plans, and financial statements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a local government or public sector environment
  • Member of a recognized Australian professional accounting body (CPA, CA, or IPA)
