Job Title: Control Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

Nicholas Associates is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Control Systems: Design and implement control systems for industrial processes, including the selection and specification of control equipment and software.
  • Conduct Engineering Surveys: Conduct engineering surveys for new installations, site upgrades, and for the removal or replacement of EC&I equipment.
  • Develop Engineering Documentation: Develop engineering documentation, including block diagrams, PFDs, SLDs, P&IDs, C&E charts, schematics, wiring drawings, data sheets, and safety critical elements.
  • Troubleshoot and Maintain Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain existing control systems, including fault finding and repair of equipment.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and project management to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in control systems technology.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in designing and implementing control systems for industrial processes.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of control systems principles, including programming languages such as TBox, Pilz, and SQL.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Oil & Gas operations and hazardous areas, as well as experience with SCADA platforms.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
