About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the British Red Cross. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing practical and emotional support to individuals in need, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to service users, including assistance with daily living tasks, emotional support, and guidance.
  • Respond to referrals from healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide timely and effective support.
  • Assess service users' needs and develop tailored support plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Support service users in their recovery and rehabilitation, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of service users.
  • Knowledge of the health and social care sector, including relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness to undergo training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
