About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support for our server estate, including Windows 2022/2019/2016/2012.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for server estate, including Windows 2022/2019/2016/2012.
  • Manage deployments of new and updated applications and operating systems.
  • Deploy applications in Citrix VDA environment.
  • Use change, problem, incident, and release management toolset in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Leverage knowledge of server hardening, CIS policies, and vulnerability fixes.
  • Be aware of ITIL processes and follow guidelines in day-to-day activities.
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and mentoring to other technical resources.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure support and delivery of business-critical services.
  • Proactively ensure compliance and industry security best practices.
  • Perform antivirus and security tools deployment and management.
  • Have basic knowledge of BMC monitoring.
  • Perform hardware blade, servers, physical servers' configuration and BAU support.
Requirements
  • Experience with management of Windows desktop builds.
  • Knowledge of application packaging technologies such as MSI.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware infrastructure design, build with HA, DR, VM deployments.
  • Knowledge of management of antivirus and patching deployments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, especially Group Policy Management.
  • Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and WINS.
  • Experience of working effectively both individually and as part of highly productive teams in an infrastructure/application ITIL-based support environment.
  • Appreciation of business-critical real-time systems.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Able to pass background vetting process.
  • Excellent stakeholder management at all levels with ability to challenge senior stakeholders and say 'no' politely.
  • Ability to mentor junior personnel and provide guidance on work packages.
  • Ability to work with little or no guidance.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of the analysis and ability to draw conclusions quickly in a limited timeframe.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks without a negative impact on quality.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in software deployment technologies such as SCCM.
  • Knowledge of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop.
