Job Summary:
Berry Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Support Officer to join our team. As a Housing Support Officer, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to the area housing team, delivering services to tenants in the south London region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all operational activities, ensuring seamless delivery of services to tenants.
- Complete housing benefit applications and possess in-depth knowledge of the housing benefit system.
- Conduct regular inspections of housing properties to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Implement quality improvement measures to enhance service delivery.
- Liaise with support staff to obtain and update relevant information for tenancies and benefit claims.
- Input and update data on housing management systems, including tenancy changes and maintaining accurate records.
- Produce reports and meet with care providers to monitor tenant needs.
- Attend meetings to discuss and report back to other departments as necessary.
- Carry out settling-in visits with new tenants and support staff.
Requirements:
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Knowledge of general benefit and housing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with the opportunity for flexible working arrangements.
