About Us
Lighthouse Games is a pioneering AAA game development studio based in the UK, renowned for its exceptional talent and unwavering ambition to create world-class gaming experiences. As a Material Artist, you will be part of a collaborative environment where you will have the opportunity to create the best work of your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, AAA-standard PBR materials that meet the highest industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Environment, Foliage, Scanning, Character, and Vehicle art teams, to create materials and shaders that elevate the game's visual fidelity.
- Work closely with Technical Artists and Render Engineers to design and implement new material shaders that push the boundaries of realism.
- Establish and document the material creation pipeline and parameters to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to enhance quality and productivity, and implement solutions to drive excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in creating realistic PBR compliant materials.
- Experience working with real-time game projects and render engines.
- Proficiency in node-based material authoring tools, such as Substance Suite.
- Proficiency in 3D authoring and rendering software, such as 3D Max, Blender, or Marmoset.
- Strong organizational skills and disciplined work habits.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of photogrammetry and photography.
- Knowledge of geology, architecture, or dendrology.
- Interest in motorsport.
