Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Vehicle Material Artist to join our team. As a key member of our vehicle art discipline, you will be responsible for developing our material library, elevating visual benchmarks, and managing performance targets. You will work closely with our leadership team and collaborate with other departments to execute on our artistic vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Creation: Research, develop, and document material creation processes to ensure high-quality vehicle assets.
  • Team Productivity: Identify opportunities to increase team productivity and implement effective solutions.
  • Asset Quality: Ensure that vehicle assets meet defined technical and artistic requirements.
  • Mentorship: Mentor internal and external teams to maintain quality and consistency in vehicle material creation.
  • Personal Deliverables: Manage personal deliverables to meet defined objectives, quality standards, and schedules.
  • Team Support: Support and inspire junior and experienced vehicle artists to achieve their best work.

Requirements

  • Physically Based Rendering Experience: Strong experience in creating Physically Based Rendering assets.
  • Texture Authoring Tools: Proficient with texture authoring tools such as Photoshop and Substance.
  • Vehicle Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the mechanical composition of vehicles.
  • Modeling Techniques: Well-practiced in precision modeling techniques for meticulous detailing.
  • Node-Based Tools: Extensive experience with node-based tools such as Substance Suite, 3ds Max, Maya, or equivalent.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and disciplined work habits.
  • Collaboration: Willingness to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Professional Mindset: Approach the role with a professional mindset adhering to industry standards.
  • Communication Skills: A high standard of verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Software Experience: Proficient in software such as Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk Maya, and Atlassian Jira.
  • CAD Data Processing: Experience with CAD data processing.
