About the Role
Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our multidisciplinary team as a Stroke Medicine Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-standard care to the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in ward rounds, reviewing new patients, HASU patients for the first 72 hours, and ASU patients.
- Conduct clinics, including stroke clinics every other week and TIA clinics per week, supervising CNS in TIA clinics.
- Chair weekly stroke ward MDT meetings.
- Participate in regional out-of-hours on-call, shared with consultants at Maidstone Hospital, using Telemedicine.
- Perform weekend ward rounds in the stroke unit on a 1:6 rota.
Requirements
- Full GMC Registration.
- MBBS or equivalent.
- MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
- Holds CCT or equivalent, or will obtain within 6 months of interview date.
