Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at Randstad Delivery (GBS). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and goods within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Dispatch: Ensure that materials are dispatched to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Loading and Receiving: Load and receive goods on an inbound and outbound basis, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and reporting any incidents or hazards.
  • Housekeeping: Perform general housekeeping duties, including stock takes, quality checks, and reporting damages.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery as part of the role, with training provided.
Essential Requirements:
  • Driving Licence and Vehicle: Possess a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
  • Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.
  • Manual Handling: Ability to conduct manual handling duties, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
