Job Summary:

The Hotel Executive Chef will be responsible for leading the culinary team at Holiday Inn South Normanton, ensuring exceptional food quality and service standards. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong passion for food, creativity, and a drive to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative menus that meet the needs of our guests and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing culinary team, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including food safety, inventory control, and supply chain management.
  • Collaborate with the hotel's management team to develop and implement business strategies that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Develop and manage budgets, controlling costs and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the best possible prices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Chef or similar management role in a full-service hotel.
  • Proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude and a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the hotel industry and its challenges.
  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
