Job Summary:

The Executive Culinary Director will lead the kitchen team at Holiday Inn South Normanton, overseeing food preparation, kitchen operations, and staff management. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus and recipes to meet the hotel's culinary standards
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, development, and performance evaluation
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure high-quality dishes are delivered to guests
  • Monitor and control kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
  • Collaborate with the hotel's management team to develop and implement culinary strategies and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as health and safety standards
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Chef or in a similar management role in a full-service hotel
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing kitchen teams and achieving excellent results
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as health and safety standards
  • Ability to develop and implement menus and recipes to meet the hotel's culinary standards
