We are seeking highly motivated and talented Electrical Power Engineering graduates to join our team at the National HVDC Centre. As a graduate, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team that is shaping the future of energy transmission.

About the Role

As an Electrical Power Engineering graduate, you will be responsible for supporting the power system studies to de-risk the deployment of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission technologies. You will work closely with experts in the field to develop models of the transmission system and carry out simulations to identify feasibility, risks, and mitigation.

You will have the opportunity to develop expertise in world-leading simulation tools and methodologies to plan our future transmission system. Our team is committed to delivering net-zero targets, and we are looking for individuals who share our passion for sustainability and innovation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a 2:2 BEng in Electrical Power Engineering
  • Practical work or project experience that reflects your passion for the energy sector
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a team
  • Comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets
  • Ability to use your own initiative to overcome challenges
