The Role

As the Assistant Category Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Category Team in the day-to-day running of the business. Your main focus will be to provide full support to the Category Team, working cross-functionally and with external suppliers to ensure efficient management of the Category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop broad-based product knowledge to enable rapid resolution of product areas.
  • Assist in the collation of information, including product and market data to support Category decision-making.
  • Support the Category Team with the management and administration of commercial agreements.
  • Assist the product Teams with the planning and implementation of promotional activity and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor rebates and contributions for product groups on a regular basis, keeping accurate records and submitting to Finance.
Requirements
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills within the team, the organisation, and with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • The ability to be proactive.
  • Great team working skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • The desire to learn about our product ranges.
  • Excellent, fast-paced, and efficient data inputting skills.
