About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to patients with complex needs, including severe mental illness, personality disorder, substance misuse, offending behavior, and dual diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and treatment interventions to patients with complex problems.
  • Exercise full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan.
  • Represent psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary and inter-agency care.
  • Lead on the implementation of an attachment-focused model of working (DMM) and apply this model to achieve a more nuanced understanding of risk.

Person Specification
  • Clinical Post Graduate Doctoral level training in Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychology or equivalent accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Evidence of CPD in accordance with BPS recommendations.
  • Recognized qualification or training in psychotherapy supervision or Clinical supervision training for doctoral clinical/counselling psychology trainees.
