Position: Trainee – Coating Engineer

Location: Lisburn

Compensation: Competitive

Contract: 4 Year Apprenticeship program, Monday – Friday.

Briggs Equipment Ltd is a prominent provider of asset management and maintenance services throughout the UK and Ireland.

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Coating Engineer to become part of our accomplished team at our Lisburn facility.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging in and completing a 4 Year Level 3 Apprenticeship in Vehicle and Damage Paint Technician through the IMI Scheme.
  • Collaborating with a mentor to apply learned skills in practical settings within the workshop.
  • Timely completion of all training-related documentation and assignments to the required standards.
  • Participating in training provider sessions on a block release basis, ranging from 5 to 15 weeks annually.
  • Attending training courses at our central location as necessary.
  • Utilizing the knowledge acquired during your final year to further develop your skills and transition into a fully qualified Engineer.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs in English, Science, and Mathematics is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • A keen desire to learn and grow within an engineering capacity.
  • An interest in pertinent engineering fields.
  • A positive attitude towards learning and all work-related tasks.
  • Exemplary work habits, including punctuality, organization, accountability, quality, and safety awareness.
