Job Overview

Position: Trainee Planner

We are currently seeking a Trainee Planner to become an integral part of our organization.

In collaboration with the Planning Team, you will focus on delivering excellence, creativity, and effective solutions in facade design for large-scale construction initiatives, all aligned with our core values.

This position is primarily based at our Head Office but may involve travel as required.

While prior experience in a planning capacity is advantageous, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of construction schedules for both Architectural and Re:Purpose divisions using Powerproject.
  • Estimate installation timelines and labor requirements based on project specifications.
  • Assist the planning team in developing tender schedules for the Pre-Construction department for inclusion in bid submissions.
  • Ensure that contract and target schedules are updated weekly, with progress communicated to relevant teams.
  • Identify any activities impacting the critical path of projects and collaborate with the team to find resolutions.
  • Participate in internal meetings to establish project sequencing and coordination.
  • Provide resource planning reports for key departments within Clarke.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive overviews for all projects from design through to installation.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure accurate lead times are factored into Pre-Construction phases.
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure timely updates.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in planning.
  • Familiarity with Asta Software.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths, and at least 1 year of experience in an administrative role, or a minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative capacity.
  • High proficiency in IT, including all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to adhere to established processes and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail.
