Trainee Planner

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Planner to join our business.

Working alongside the Planning Team, you will ensure excellence, innovation and solutions in facade design on large scale construction projects, delivered in line with The Clarke Way.

This role is based in our Head Office in Ballymena but may require travel to the UK.

 Previous experience of working within a planning role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

About The Role

Role Summary

·        Assist on the oversee of construction programmes for both Architectural and Re:Purpose departments via Powerproject.

·        Calculate installation durations and labour based on the scope of work on all projects.

·        Assist planning team in creating tender programmes for the Pre-Construction team for inclusion in tender submissions.

·        Ensure contract and target programmes are progressed weekly and droplines are sent to the relevant teams.

·        Highlight any tasks that are affecting the critical path of projects and assist team to help resolve these.

·        Attend in-house meetings to agree sequencing and coordination of projects.

·        Report resource plans for key departments at Clarke.

·        Assist in the creation of overviews for all projects from design, procurement, production and install.

·        Liaise with procurement to ensure accurate lead times are considered for Pre-Construction phases.

·        Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure accurate updates.

  • Planning Experience
  • Use of Asta Software

Required Criteria

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include English & Maths and at least 1 years’ experience in an administrative role Or Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative role
  • High level of IT literacy to include all Microsoft Packages
  • Ability to adhere to defined processes and Standard Operating Procedures
  • High level of attention to detail
