Job Title: Senior Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager

MBDA UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Major Equipment Procurement (MEP) team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation, negotiation, implementation, and performance of subcontracts across the entire life cycle of missiles and missile systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and execution of subcontracts with existing partners or through tendering activities
  • Overseeing subcontract amendments to ensure they remain topical and compliant with latest contracting standards and legislation
  • Undertaking performance management activities to ensure suppliers deliver in line with subcontract obligations
  • Developing and nurturing strong supplier relationships with suppliers within the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial and business risks relating to suppliers
  • Obtaining quotations and critical intelligence from suppliers to enable MBDA to bid for new business
Requirements:
  • Experience in procurement subcontract management, negotiation, contract, and terms and conditions
  • Ability to problem-solve daily and find effective resolutions
  • Keen to provide continuous support and cooperation to senior internal and external customers
  • Continuous improvement of opportunities, analysis of situations, and presentation of possibilities while balancing risk
