Job Title: Senior Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager

MBDA UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Major Equipment Procurement (MEP) team, you will be responsible for partnering with suppliers worldwide to enable the delivery of world-leading defence capabilities for our Home Nations and their Allies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and execution of subcontracts with existing partners or through tendering activities
  • Overseeing subcontract amendments to ensure compliance with latest contracting standards and legislation
  • Undertaking performance management activities to ensure suppliers deliver in line with subcontract obligations
  • Developing and nurturing strong supplier relationships within the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial and business risks related to suppliers
  • Obtaining quotations and critical intelligence from suppliers to inform business decisions
Requirements:
  • Experience in procurement subcontract management, negotiation, contract, and terms and conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to find resolutions
  • Ability to provide continuous support and cooperation to internal and external customers
  • Capacity to continually improve opportunities, analyze situations, and present possibilities while balancing risk
