Job Title: Senior Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager to join our team at MBDA. As a key member of our Major Equipment Procurement (MEP) team, you will be responsible for managing critical and complex supplier subcontracts, providing commercial guidance to internal customers, and mitigating commercial and business risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and execution of subcontracts with existing partners or through tendering activities
  • Overseeing subcontract amendments to ensure compliance with latest contracting standards and legislation
  • Undertaking performance management activities to ensure suppliers deliver in line with subcontract obligations
  • Developing and nurturing strong supplier relationships with UK, European, and international suppliers
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial and business risks related to suppliers
  • Obtaining quotations and critical intelligence from suppliers to enable MBDA to bid for new business

Requirements:

  • Experience in procurement subcontract management, negotiation, contract, and terms and conditions
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to find daily resolutions
  • Ability to provide continuous support and cooperation to senior internal and external customers
  • Continuous improvement of opportunities, analysis of situations, and presentation of possibilities while balancing risk
