Job Title: Lead Administrator
Job Summary:
The Lead Administrator will be responsible for managing the administrative functions of the school, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing support to the teaching staff. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the teaching staff, including managing the attendance register, overseeing the petty cash system, and maintaining the asset register.
- Office Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including maintaining stock levels of consumables, arranging the ordering and delivery of bulk items, and ensuring an efficient and effective communication system is in place.
- Team Management: Lead, manage, motivate, and develop a team of staff, including managing appraisals, providing training and development opportunities, and ensuring the team is working effectively to achieve the school's goals.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the school is compliant with all relevant legislation and regulations, including health and safety, data protection, and safeguarding.
- IT Support: Provide IT support to the teaching staff, including managing the school's IT systems, maintaining the asset register, and ensuring the school's IT infrastructure is secure and up-to-date.
- Development and Training: Participate in a programme of self-professional development to ensure skills, knowledge, and understanding are added to and kept up to date.
Person Specification:
- Essential Criteria:
- National level 3 or equivalent qualification in a related area or equivalent experience.
- Level 3 in Literacy and numeracy.
- Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of a management support role in a busy, fast-paced environment and in a regulatory compliance context.
- Experience of presentation of information and proposals to differing audiences.
- Experience in contributing effectively to multi-agency meetings.
- Experience of managing multiple functions, including previous demonstrable people management.
- Experience of working in a school.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week with 40 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays)
Salary Scale: £23,795 per annum
