Key Responsibilities:
The Serious Injury Costs team is responsible for comprehensive management of Sales Reserves, budget oversight, and post-settlement processes, which include communication with our cost suppliers, billing operations, and financial recovery tasks.
Daily Tasks Include:
- Ensuring case progression aligns with internal service level agreements, accounting regulations, and procedural rules.
- Maintaining the integrity of internal databases and case management systems.
- Processing all payments related to damages and costs, including disbursements.
- Actively pursuing outstanding costs and initiating enforcement actions when necessary.
- Following established protocols for the recovery of Payments on Account.
- Contributing to the internal Billing Governance Forum, assisting the Technical Legal Counsel in cost recovery decisions through accurate financial reporting.
- Identifying potential financial risks associated with cases and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in an administrative or financial role.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and process both written and numerical information.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of negotiation and influencing outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Proclaim software.
- Experience in costs management or personal injury law.
- A commitment to personal development and career advancement in the personal injury sector.
