Commercial Director

SRG is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to lead their sales and marketing teams. This role is a key position within the company's board of directors and reports directly to the MD.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the sales and marketing teams to achieve commercial goals on a global scale.
- Work closely with the company's board and MD to set strategic goals and directions.
- Manage a team of 7 direct reports, including business development managers and marketing managers.
- Interact with technical and operations professionals to ensure successful delivery.
- Demonstrable prior success in a commercial role in a scientific environment.
- Background in science is essential, with a degree in life science, chemistry, environmental science, agriculture, or soil science.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience giving presentations to key stakeholders.
- Experience using a CRM system, preferably HubSpot.
- Previous people management experience.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial documentation.
- Able to work on-site in Dundee or Aberdeen.
- Recognised business qualification.
- Experience in the agriculture, environmental, or soil science industry.
- Demonstrable experience of working successfully with overseas customers.
- Good understanding of IP and patent applications, including Plant Variety Rights.
This role operates on a hybrid basis, with full-time on-site work for the first 3 months in either Aberdeen or Dundee, and hybrid work thereafter (3 days per week).
