Project Controls Analyst

Salary: £33,000- £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) + private medical healthcare, life insurance + additional benefits.

We are looking for a dedicated Project Controls Analyst to oversee and facilitate the financial and administrative components of various projects for our esteemed client. The primary responsibilities include crafting and sustaining project timelines, ensuring adherence to budgets, and meeting critical deadlines. The ideal candidate will track project advancements, generate status updates, and manage potential risks to guarantee successful project execution.

This role offers a chance to acquire invaluable industry experience and hone top-tier consultancy skills. You will collaborate with leading clients on some of the most thrilling projects across diverse sectors, including but not limited to Rail, Utilities, Defence, Nuclear, Aviation, Oil & Gas, and Construction.

This position is based in London with the flexibility to work remotely for 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in the development and maintenance of project timelines, liaise with teams, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Formulate, oversee, and regulate project budgets, monitor spending, and conduct cost forecasting.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Evaluate project progress, prepare performance reports, and perform variance analyses.
  • Risk and Quality Management: Identify and assess risks, ensure adherence to standards, and implement quality assurance measures.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant construction or engineering discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Project Controls on significant construction projects, with a desire to further develop expertise in this area.
  • Familiarity with one or more planning and reporting software tools such as Primavera P6, MS Projects, or Asta Power Projects.
  • Experience in the Project Controls sector, preferably within Rail, Utilities, Aviation, Oil & Gas, Civil Engineering, or construction industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data to produce precise, timely, and informative reports in various formats, identifying root causes and impacts.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional project team and effectively influence and challenge at all levels.
