Job Purpose
We are in search of a Capital Estimation Team Leader to supervise estimation functions for various projects and tenders, ensuring the production of precise estimates for targeted proposals. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for capital expenditure estimates and tender processes, effectively managing multiple responsibilities.

The Capital Estimation Team Leader will be tasked with preparing estimates and commercial contributions for proposals, coordinating activities for service projects, and developing EPC capital expenditure cost estimates across all project phases (Study, FEED, EPC). Furthermore, this role involves timely reporting to the Estimating Department Manager and the capability to present findings to senior management during estimate review sessions.

Main Duties
  • Comprehend the scope of work, contract, schedule, project execution, local conditions, construction execution, and financial framework of specific proposals.
  • Design and implement project estimate methodologies that fulfill client expectations, align with Project Management Team agreements, and comply with company standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments, particularly technical teams, Project/Proposal teams, and support functions.
  • Conduct cost review meetings with estimators and project/proposal teams, preparing reviews with the Head of Estimating and management.
  • Prepare and deliver management reviews at all levels, including cost estimate presentations, overall cost summaries, cash flow, exposure, and price breakdowns for submission.
  • Ensure adherence to QHSES and company standards, interfacing with global estimating teams as necessary.
  • Gather and update accurate market data, reporting it to the organization.

Departmental Duties
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the field, updating the Estimating group with the latest standards, tools, and practices.
  • Coordinate and train estimators on utilizing capital cost estimation software for modeling projects, calibrating the software with detailed estimates or project returns.
  • Review estimation methodologies and new tools for approval by the Head of Estimating.
  • Oversee and review the estimating data repository.

Requirements
  • Engineering degree
  • 8 to 15 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in process design and construction management
  • Strong understanding of services and EPC contracts and various pricing structures
  • Ability to streamline cost structures and optimize cost components
  • Positive attitude and effective collaboration with other entities and operational centers
  • Knowledge of cost control, management, and project reporting principles

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data management
  • Familiarity with Visual Basic for macros (preferred)
  • Experience with capital cost estimation software

Personal Skills
  • Ability to analyze and summarize costs efficiently
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
