About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Doctor to join our Community Child Health team in Central London. As a Specialist Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with complex needs and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the provision of the Child Development Service within the Child Development Team for complex physical, neuro-disability, and complex needs.
  • Support the assessment and management of children with cerebral palsy and other neuro-disabilities.
  • Assess and manage children with neuro-disability and complex needs in close collaboration with therapy, education, and primary care colleagues.
  • Manage a caseload in designated local special needs school(s).
  • Complete and review education and health care plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practise.
  • MRCP, MRCPCH by examination or equivalent or MRCGP.
  • Relevant experience in the clinical management of children, including those with neuro-developmental, emotional, behavioural, and attachment difficulties, child protection, and adult health issues pertinent to parenting.
  • Completed significant years of medical work since obtaining a primary medical qualification.
  • Knowledge and participation in CPD.
  • Able to apply knowledge and meet the requirements of the GMC's "Good Medical Practice".
  • Experience of NHS and knowledge of the management and structure of the NHS.
