We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Protection Officer to enhance our team in the realm of environmental compliance and regulation. This role focuses on statutory enforcement and the management of noise and nuisance complaints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct enforcement activities in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1990.
- Investigate noise nuisance and domestic noise issues.
- Perform acoustic assessments and execute noise surveys.
- Prepare lead statements and legal documentation for both criminal and civil cases.
- Handle Statutory Nuisance complaints through established procedures, utilizing record forms and noise monitoring equipment as necessary.
- Engage with Planning and Licensing consultations.
- Carry out inspections related to Environmental Permits.
- Collect evidence in compliance with PACE regulations.
- Participate in Planning and Licensing consultations, including hearings.
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive rate of £45 per hour, with a flexible work arrangement of 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
Contract Duration:
This is an initial contract with the possibility of extension.
