About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team at DP World. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build trust and long-lasting relationships with customers across various departments
  • Understand contract specifications and requirements, and ensure compliance with DP World's customer interface guidelines
  • Support the preparation of pricing, cost estimates, and commercial documents for quotation responses
  • Defend pricing to internal staff and customers
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Forecast and track key account metrics, and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand market needs and explore opportunities beyond current service portfolios
  • Support Senior Account Managers in quotation processes and presentations for existing and new business opportunities
  • Identify new topics or activities not covered by existing contracts and agreements, and report them on a weekly basis
  • Raise Change Request Forms, push for approval, and maintain detailed records of all documents
  • Support the preparation of presentations for weekly and monthly business reviews, and present commercial topics during reviews
  • Monitor important contractual KPIs, such as productivity, downtime, sales revenue, and report on a regular basis to Senior Management

Requirements

  • Bilingual with German language skills at a minimum level of B1
  • Degree educated in related disciplines, such as finance, marketing, or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in account management, including the use of pricing templates, cost databases, and other supporting tools
  • Excellent knowledge of the automotive industry, services, and products, as well as market-specific requirements and procedures
  • A good understanding of production and logistics channel processes and their costs
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with proficient oral and written communication across all levels
  • Highly customer-focused, with the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to empathize and understand client viewpoints, and act as their champion within the DP World internal organization
  • Ability to interpret data and derive solid conclusions from analysis
  • Possess strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to create structure and organization within a fast-moving environment
  • Sound commercial awareness
  • Able to cope with time pressure and has the flexibility and willingness to see the job through
  • Willingness to travel between locations within Oxford, Swindon, and the Midlands
