Position Overview:

The NHS Business Services Authority is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Service Improvement Lead. This role is pivotal in enhancing the functionality and user experience of the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) across various organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operational teams to initiate and expand ESR projects, particularly focusing on Self-Service HR and Online Learning Management functionalities.
  • Provide expert guidance to ensure that organizations effectively adopt ESR methodologies and functionalities in alignment with their project timelines.
  • Advise organizations on strategies to engage their workforce and promote the benefits of the ESR solution.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive project plans that outline the implementation of ESR functionalities.
  • Participate actively in regional special interest groups to keep organizations informed about new developments and functionalities.
  • Share knowledge and insights that support regional initiatives aimed at increasing the uptake of ESR functionalities.
  • Contribute to the creation of project management resources and operational tools to facilitate the successful delivery of ESR projects.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily home-based, with travel required to various sites for meetings and collaboration with NHS organizations.
