Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Autism Support Assistant in Southwark. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ASD, helping them succeed academically and emotionally.
- Run intervention sessions to boost pupils' development in key areas.
- Encourage children to engage with classroom activities, fostering participation and inclusion.
- Support pupils with SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions and engage with their learning environment.
- Access to regular training on ASD and other SEND areas to enhance your skills.
- Work term-time only, ensuring a great work-life balance.
- Collaborate with SENCo, Psychologists, and Therapists for a multidisciplinary learning experience.
- Minimum of a 2:1 degree in Psychology from a top UK university.
- Genuine interest in supporting SEND students, particularly those with ASD.
