Job Title: Support Worker for Student Wellbeing

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in Southwark, South East London. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting student wellbeing and supporting young people through their school journey.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them manage personal and academic challenges
* Work closely with the Pastoral Team and other school staff to promote student wellbeing
* Address behavioural issues with compassion and firmness, ensuring students feel supported
* Foster positive relationships with students and their families, maintaining open lines of communication
* Monitor and support students' attendance, punctuality, and academic progress
* Assist with any safeguarding concerns, adhering to school policies and procedures

Essential Criteria:

* Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a pastoral or student support role
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
* A caring, empathetic approach, with the ability to manage sensitive situations
* Ability to work independently and as part of a dedicated pastoral team
* A genuine passion for student wellbeing and creating a positive school environment

Additional Information:

* Full-time, Monday to Friday
* Paid up to £105 to £125 per day, term time only
* Located in Hackney, London - easily accessible via public transport
* Immediate start with long-term potential
