Associate Director

The University of Pennsylvania, a world-renowned leader in education, research, and innovation, is seeking an Associate Director to join its Civic House team. As a key member of the team, you will oversee the development, administration, and evaluation of social justice educational programming that supports University of Pennsylvania students' community-engaged learning experiences.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement curricula and workshops on identity development, systems of power, solidarity, social change, intersectionality, social justice, and responsible community engagement.
- Collaborate with other campus centers on educational programming that aligns with Civic House's Social Justice Framework.
- Create an inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist environment through educational programming that supports the entire Civic House community.
- Hire, train, and supervise Civic House student staff and other part-time staff.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term programmatic goals.
- Coordinate new projects, programs, and events.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners and other University offices, and student groups.
- Participate in developing and maintaining the Civic House website and other social media.
- Master's degree in Education, Social Work, or related discipline and/or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 1-3 years professional-level involvement with higher education community-engagement experience, social justice education, work with community-based organizations, and/or student development work.
- Deep understanding of anti-oppressive frameworks, social justice issues, community engagement, and advocacy.
$50k-60k commensurate with education and experience
