Job Description

EdEx is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant - SEN & Mental Health. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to gain hands-on experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and mental health needs.

About the Role

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic graduate to work closely with students in KS3, KS4, and KS5 to support them academically and pastorally. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for working with students with SEN and mental health needs and be able to inspire them with learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with mild SEN and mental health needs in the classroom and in out-of-class interventions
  • Work closely with students to improve their academic ability, confidence, communication skills, and more
  • Complete fortnightly 1:1 sessions with KS5 students in Years 12 and 13
  • Shadow occupational therapists, psychologists, and other professionals to gain a deeper understanding of their roles
Requirements
  • Bright graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 Degree
  • Strong passion for working with students with SEN and mental health needs
  • Confidence in ability and knowledge of both the GCSE and A Level curriculum
