Ecommerce Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecommerce Manager to join our team at Trafalgar Scientific Ltd, a leading independent Life Sciences Laboratory supplier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Ecommerce Strategies: Drive online sales growth and enhance customer experience through effective ecommerce strategies.
- Manage the Company's Website: Oversee the management of the company's website, including B2B/B2C online sales, product catalogue, and digital content.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Department: Work with the Sales and Marketing Department to develop market pricing and strategy for digital sales.
- Analyse Website Traffic and User Behaviour: Analyse website traffic and user behaviour to optimise conversion rates and improve overall performance.
- Lead and Manage the Ecommerce and Marketing Team: Lead and manage the Ecommerce and Marketing Team to achieve key objectives and drive team growth.
- Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and recommend new initiatives to enhance the company's online presence.
- Oversee Digital Marketing Campaigns: Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and search engine optimisation (SEO).
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports to track the effectiveness of Ecommerce and Marketing initiatives.
- Manage Relationships with Third-Party Vendors: Manage relationships with third-party vendors, agencies, and technology partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in Web Analytics Tools: Proficiency in web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, is required.
- Excellent Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
- Ability to Work Effectively in a Fast-Paced Environment: The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks accordingly is essential.
- Knowledge of Relevant Regulations and Compliance Standards: Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards, such as GDPR, is desirable.
- Ability to Learn about New Products: The ability and openness to learn about new products relevant to the supply of Laboratory Equipment and Consumables is required.
- Proven Experience as an Ecommerce Manager: Proven experience as an Ecommerce Manager, Marketing Manager, or similar, preferably in the Laboratory or Life Sciences sector, is required.
- Strong Understanding of Ecommerce Platforms: A strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, such as Shopify, and online payment gateways is required.
- Experience with SAP: Experience with SAP is desirable, but not essential.
