We are pleased to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in General Adult Psychiatry to become part of our dedicated Care Delivery Service. This role is situated within a supportive environment focused on delivering high-quality inpatient care and treatment.
This position offers a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, alongside a relocation allowance of up to £8000. The payment structure is as follows:
- £5000 upon appointment
- £5000 retention payment at the 12-month employment anniversary
- £6500 retention payment at the 30-month employment anniversary
- £8500 retention payment at the 48-month employment anniversary
The Recruitment and Retention payment is adjusted for part-time employees. For further details regarding the Recruitment and Retention Payment and/or the Relocation Allowance, please reach out to our Medical Staffing Team.
Main Responsibilities You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exemplary care for patients admitted to the ward. Your role will also involve interaction with other acute inpatient services and local community teams.
This position allows for involvement in research, development, medical education, or pursuing special interests. We are committed to creating roles that not only provide essential services but also foster personal and professional growth in areas of special interest.

Person Specification Essential Qualifications
- Full registration with the GMC and a license to practice at the time of appointment.
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility within six months.
- Approved clinician status or ability to obtain within three months of appointment.
- Strong knowledge in the specialty.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- MRCPsych.
- Good standing with GMC regarding practice conditions.
- Diverse specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to the role within the NHS or comparable services.
