Are you a seasoned accountant looking to take your career to the next level? Do you have a passion for revenue recognition and financial analysis? We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Revenue Accountant to join our team at Quantexa, a leading provider of data analytics solutions.

About the Role

As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition, sales metrics analysis, and gross margin analytics for the group. Your expertise will help drive revenue optimization strategies and provide insightful guidance to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Review contracts and sales agreements to ensure proper recognition of revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address revenue recognition complexities and ensure alignment with business objectives and tax structuring.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of revenue accounting ledgers is complete and balances, both P&L and Balances Sheet.
  • Analyse gross margin performance for professional services engagements, pre, during and post deployment.
  • Develop and implement robust reporting and analysis tools to track gross margin trends, identify areas for improvement, and drive profitability.
  • Establish and monitor key sales performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of sales and delivery strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and presentations to executive leadership on sales performance and forecast accuracy.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant.
  • Extensive experience in revenue accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a software or technology company.
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition principles, including IFRS15, and experience applying them in a software/SaaS environment.
  • Solid proven understanding in tax compliance and optimisation through distribution agreements and transfer pricing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
