Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reception Manager to lead our front desk team at Medicus Health Partners. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the reception area, ensuring a positive experience for patients, and supporting the smooth functioning of our medical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the reception team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Oversee the administration of patient records, including data entry, data allocation, and collation, in accordance with practice procedures.
  • Process prescriptions and ensure the safe keeping and correct distribution of medications.
  • Supervise patient recall systems, maintain immunization and cervical cytology records, and ensure the registration and path lab links procedure is up-to-date.
  • Deputize for the Practice Manager in their absence and take responsibility for maintaining a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors.
  • Act as a role model to the reception team, supporting, motivating, and promoting staff relations.
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives, applying practice policies, standards, and guidance.
Requirements
  • GCSE English, Maths (C or above) and at least two others.
  • Experience of at least 12 months leading/managing a team, working with the general public, and administrative duties.
  • Experience of working in a GP setting is highly desirable.
