About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modernisation Manager to join our team at the Department for Work and Pensions. As a key member of our People and Capability Group, you will play a critical role in driving our modernisation priorities and ensuring that our organisation is equipped to deliver excellent services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to our modernisation efforts, ensuring that our priorities are aligned with our organisational goals and objectives.
  • Change Management: Lead and manage change initiatives across the organisation, ensuring that our people are equipped to adapt to changing circumstances and that our processes are efficient and effective.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and priorities, and to ensure that our modernisation efforts are aligned with their expectations.
  • Project Management: Manage and deliver projects related to modernisation, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on the performance of our modernisation efforts, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
Requirements
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to drive organisational change.
  • Change Management: Have experience of leading and managing change initiatives, with the ability to engage and motivate stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Be able to engage with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships and communicating effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Project Management: Have experience of managing projects, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects to time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Be able to monitor and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
