Community Engagement Specialist

Salary - £26,

Contract - Full time 12 month FTC

Location - Covering various areas

We are excited to announce new opportunities within the Work and Health Programme and are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to become part of our dedicated team. This position plays a vital role in connecting with stakeholders to promote integration across different Local Authority regions. You will collaborate closely with Local Authorities, JobCentre Plus (JCP), and voluntary/third sector organizations to enhance referrals to the programme.

As a Community Engagement Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

Engaging with clients through outreach events to raise awareness of the programme. Maintaining regular communication with JCP Work Coaches and other referral sources (External Local Signposting Organizations). Building partnerships with local community and health organizations to facilitate referrals. Organizing welcome sessions for new participants, job fairs, and local events to enhance both referrals and employment outcomes. Providing feedback to JCP colleagues to highlight success stories of progression and sustained outcomes. Developing and managing relationships with broader services that support our participants, including offender management, housing, skills development, and Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) providers, ensuring comprehensive support for our participants. Creating a supportive ecosystem tailored to meet the individual needs of participants.

To succeed as a Community Engagement Specialist, you will possess:

Exceptional relationship management skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively through both in-person and remote interactions. The capability to travel across designated areas. A solid understanding of employment services and welfare-to-work initiatives. Experience in a performance-driven environment.

The Work and Health Programme is designed to assist individuals on specific benefits who face challenges in securing employment. This may include those with physical or mental health conditions, individuals with criminal records, care leavers, or ex-armed forces personnel.
